The Fastest Week Ever

Hi Guys!!  Oh my did I have a busy busy week!!  This week has been a total whirlwind!  I feel like I have been running around crazy this week!  I have been on full speed all week and feel like I haven’t had a second to sit down.  But, at least it’s over with and everything is calm now!  When I finally sat down this weekend to write this post I had a hard time remembering what I did all week.  So, this post is going to be short and sweet!  more “The Fastest Week Ever”

Back To Reality

Hey Everyone! This week was back to reality for me.  It was kind of bittersweet.  I was really sad that vacation was over, but I was also ready to get back to my normal routine.  I didn’t workout or really worry about what I ate on vacation at all.  I’ll post about why soon.  I just made sure to enjoy myself and my uninterrupted time with my husband.  Real life can get so busy, so it was nice to unplug and be away from all distractions.  more “Back To Reality”

Making it Happen

Hi Friends!  I hope you had a great week and an even better weekend!  It’s been a little cold this week, but today it’s back up in the 60’s!  I had a great week and got in some good runs and workouts.  I was pretty happy with that.  Usually this time of year it’s hard to fit those things in.  But, if it’s important you’ll make it happen.  I saw that on Pinterest this week and I’ve had it running through my head all week!  more “Making it Happen”

It’s December!

Hey Friends!  I can’t believe it’s December!  Christmas is just around the corner and this is my favorite time of year!  I love everything about Christmas, and I really got into the Christmas spirit this week.  The weather can’t make up it’s mind on whether it wants to be hot or cold.  It keeps going back and forth between temps in the 30’s and temps in the 60’s.  I’ll take 60 degrees any day!  The 60’s made for nice running weather this week! more “It’s December!”

Thanksgiving Week

Hi Friends!  I hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving and were able to celebrate with friends and family!  We had a great Thanksgiving and I enjoyed way too many sweets and am looking forward to getting back on track this week.  It was a busy week getting ready for the holiday, but I did get in several runs.  This is going to be a long recap, but a good one!  Here’s what happened in my life last week. more “Thanksgiving Week”

Sick and Tired, Literally

Hi Guys!  I hope you have had a great week!  Mine was okay…alright, it actually totally sucked!  I have literally been sick and tired all week.  I feel like I’ve been a huge downer lately because of my back, and then this week I got sick.  But, what do you do?  🙂  I did get to watch a ton of Netflix.  I won’t complain about that!  I was sick all week long and completely worn out.  All I wanted to do was sleep, which just made me mad that I couldn’t run.  But I’m finally starting to feel better and I got in a run yesterday and another one today.  I did take Jake on a walk each day so I could meet my Pile on the Miles goal.  Plus, he didn’t care if I felt good or not.  He just wanted to play!  more “Sick and Tired, Literally”

My Weekly Recap

Hi Guys!  I hope you all had a great week!  Mine was really good.  I had a little unexpected, but very much needed break during the middle of the week and it was awesome!  I didn’t get a lot of running in, but I did better.  My back is finally starting to feel better!  It’s not 100%, but it’s really close.  Maybe 96%!  So, I took more rest days than run days this week just to help it feel better.  I did do a lot of yoga and that really helped my back.  I didn’t really feel like I trained that much this week, but I did make sure to meet my Pile on the Miles goal every day.  (Walk or run 30 minutes each day)  I’ll share with you what I did do.  more “My Weekly Recap”

There’s Always a Silver Lining

Hi Friends!  I hope you all had a great first week of November.  It still does not feel like November.  Our temperatures have stayed up in the upper 80’s and the sun is hot!  I’m not complaining at all, because I would rather have this than cold weather.  But, it doesn’t really feel like fall yet.  more “There’s Always a Silver Lining”

One Tough Week

Hi Friends!  This week was pretty rough and there wasn’t a lot of running.  Coming back from vacation really caught up with me and I was TIRED and sore.  The soreness in my legs set in on Monday night and it was still there on Thursday! No matter how much stretching, foam rolling, or hydrating I did, they were so sore! (I had a hard time getting in and out of my car, and also just sitting down in a chair!)  Also, my back was pretty sore, and towards the end of the week it changed from soreness to just pain.  Overall, it was a rough week.  Thankfully, it was a “rest” week on my schedule, so I took it easy and tried to rest as much as I could.  Even on the runs that I did, I took frequent walk breaks and didn’t push too hard.  (It also probably didn’t help that the heat and humidity were in full force this week again.  Seriously, it’s almost November, when is the temp going to drop below 85-90??) more “One Tough Week”
