5 Ways to Get a Good Night’s Sleep

Hey Guys!  How are you today?  How have you been sleeping?  I want to share some tips on how to get a good night’s sleep!  I’ve been researching this because my new Fitbit tells me how much I sleep – or really how much I don’t sleep.  I am the worst sleeper!  I am a total night owl, but I also have to be up early in the mornings.  Since I got my new Fitbit, it shows that I had been averaging around 5 hours a night.  That’s not enough sleep for anyone!  And most nights it’s 5 hours with two or three times awake and 15-20 times restless.  That makes it really hard to get up in the mornings and get going.  more “5 Ways to Get a Good Night’s Sleep”

The Word of the Week is Consistency

Hey Guys!  This is going to be a long recap, because it was a very busy week!  This week was all about being consistent!  This was my third week of marathon training, and I rocked it!  I hope I can keep this up throughout all of the training.  (15 more weeks!)  Since my second week didn’t go according to plan, I wanted to make sure that I worked hard this week.  I pushed myself hard in my workouts, but I also made sure to stretch a lot more, and get a lot of rest so my body could recover.  I really enjoyed my runs and workouts this week!  I felt stronger!    Later on when the training gets really hard, I’ll have to look back and remember how much fun I had this week! more “The Word of the Week is Consistency”

Hey Everyone!  I decided that this month I was going to start sharing my weekly meal prep with you.  I started meal prepping a couple of years ago because I got in a bad habit of eating out every day at lunch.  It was easy to run with a co-worker to a fast food restaurant and grab a quick lunch.  But, that was not healthy at all!  I started meal prepping as a way to have a healthy lunch and to save money.  I get a lot of questions about what I eat and how I prep it for the whole week so I decided to start a series and share with you what I do each week.  more “Meal Prep Ideas Edition 1”

How to Make Healthy Choices When Eating Out

Hey Everyone!  Today I want to share some tips with you on how to eat healthy when you eat out.  I love eating at home because I know exactly what I’m fixing.  But, I also enjoy eating out and not having to cook or clean!  When I first started eating healthy, I used to get completely stressed out when going out to eat.  I would avoid it as much as I could.  I would decline invitations from friends and make excuses as I why I couldn’t meet for lunch because I didn’t want to break my routine of healthy eating.  I would think that I’ve been eating so good, I don’t want to go out and blow it on a three course meal.  Thankfully, I finally realized that you can eat out and eat healthy too.  Lots of restaurants offer low calorie or healthy entrée options.  You just have to know what to order.  more “How to Make Healthy Choices When Eating Out”

A One Run Week

Hey Guys!  This was week 2 of my marathon training, and it was pretty much a cross training week.  It was too cold and windy to run outside, and then it snowed.  I know some of you run in the snow and temps when it is negative degrees, and I’m super impressed.  But, I can’t do it.  I will run outside when it’s in the upper 20’s, but anything below that is way too cold for me.  So, I got one run in this week and since I was stuck inside all week, I found other workouts to do.  Here’s a look at my week.   more “A One Run Week”

2017 Goals
