A Lesson Learned from Running This Year

It’s December!

Hey Friends!  I can’t believe it’s December!  Christmas is just around the corner and this is my favorite time of year!  I love everything about Christmas, and I really got into the Christmas spirit this week.  The weather can’t make up it’s mind on whether it wants to be hot or cold.  It keeps going back and forth between temps in the 30’s and temps in the 60’s.  I’ll take 60 degrees any day!  The 60’s made for nice running weather this week! more “It’s December!”

Running Fun

Hi!  This week was a great week running-wise.  I got in more miles than I have been, and had a lot of fun doing it.  I made a new running friend this week.  This is why I love the running community so much!  I ran into a stranger on the road and we bonded over running!  I didn’t do a lot of extra workouts, but I’m happy with my running mileage.   more “Running Fun”

Marathon Training Week 15

Hi All!  I just finished my week 15 training.  I only have three more weeks until the race!!  I am a ball of nerves!  My attitude this week about running has not been very good.  I just was not feeling it.  I hope it’s just because I’ve been extremely tired, but I have not been motivated at all to run.  My legs have also been sore from my long run last weekend, so that played into it a lot too.  (Not so much sore, but they just hurt!)  If you read my post on Friday about all of my failures this week, then you already know that I made some really bad decisions and that my week was not so great.  But, if you missed it, you are going to see that I made some unhealthy choices as far as eating, working out, and running goes.  But, that’s just life.  Not every week is a great week, and not every choice is a great choice.  You just have to deal with it and move on!  more “Marathon Training Week 15”
