Welcome to Run and Live Happy

Us - Sandals (186)

Hi! I’m Tara and I’m writing to you from Oklahoma.  I have been following a few blogs for a couple of years now and I thought “I can do that!”  I read them every day and I think they’re just normal girls like me.  So, here I am writing about my life and the things I love for all of you to see.

I really love running!  My blog is about running, healthy choices, family and friends, and anything else I can fit in. I love to travel, especially anywhere with a beach, and I will share my experiences with you.  I am a wife and we have a 5 year old lab named Jake.  You will see a lot of him on here!

Running has become such a big part of my life.  I have always run off and on since I was 14, but never seriously.  I really started getting into running and running races in 2013.  I have come a long way since my first race, and I am proud of my progress.  I’m very competitive with myself, which pushes me to train harder.  I have good runs and bad runs, and days when I don’t want to run at all.  But, it is always worth it, and I love it!  I love my Brooks Ravenna’s too!  They have made running a lot easier and more enjoyable.

I also love food!  I love all breakfast foods and Mexican food.  I especially love sweets, and I have no will power with anything sweet!  I try to make healthy choices most of the time.  I’m not perfect, and I do have a cookie (or 2) on occasion.  You will find healthy recipes that I have tried and enjoyed on here.

Hi from the Blog Hop! Oklahoma is my second home, since that’s where my husband’s whole family lives. I ran one reallllllly long, sweaty 10 mile training run along the Oklahoma River a few years ago, and Red Coyote on Classen Curve is my favorite running store of all time!

Hello!! I LOVE Red Coyote! They are my favorite store too! I buy all of my running stuff there! There is a race that runs next to the river. I have not done it yet, but I bet it would be fun!

I love finding more running bloggers! I didn’t develop a love of running until later in life. I think they call it “Adult onset Runners”
I’ve really taken to it, I’m aiming to run 2016 miles this year.
I am right there with you on the food though- especially after a run. Oh goodness, feed me ALL THE FOODS!!!
