Hi Guys!! Oh my did I have a busy busy week!! This week has been a total whirlwind! I feel like I have been running around crazy this week! I have been on full speed all week and feel like I haven’t had a second to sit down. But, at least it’s over with and everything is calm now! When I finally sat down this weekend to write this post I had a hard time remembering what I did all week. So, this post is going to be short and sweet!
I was super busy this week and I wasn’t home much. I was pretty tired all week because we stayed up really late watching Last Man Standing every night and I had to get up early every day. So, I had zero energy by the time I could get in a workout. I feel like I really slacked off on my workouts this week. I tried (with the help of my Spark!) and got in a workout almost every day, even if it was short, but the quality of them were not so great.
Monday morning I started with some yogurt that was topped with bananas, chia seeds, and Special K cereal.
That afternoon Jeremy and I took Jake for a walk and then I did an arm and ab workout. Jake laid in the hall in front of the door the whole time cutting his eyes back at me. He wanted me to play with him instead.
When Jeremy got home, we took Jake for a walk.
And then we went and picked stuff out of the garden. Our watermelons are getting huge! And there are a ton of them!
Tuesday morning started with some eggs, toast, blueberries, and green tea. I had a loooooooong day ahead of me so I made sure to eat something that would keep me full all morning.
Good thing I did, because I had a meeting that ended up lasting all morning. I got a quick lunch break and ran home and ate some leftover deer steak and had some Spark.
I needed that Spark to help me get through the rest of the afternoon.
I had a few more hours before I was done for the day! After sitting for so long, my body needed to move! As soon as I got home I got busy doing some core work.
I also took Jake for another walk so I could get my 10,000 steps in. I have really been slacking on that since I got this boot.
Our neighbor’s brought us a TON of Anaheim peppers so I decided to try to stuff them.
They aren’t quite big enough, but they were good. I topped them with ground turkey and a sprinkle of cheese and ate them with salsa.
Wednesday morning was yogurt again with blueberries and chia on top.
I had some things to do in town, so I was gone all morning. When I got home, I had a sandwich with turkey, swiss, spinach, and avocado.
Then I did a 10 minute Fitness Blender ab workout. I was super sore, I guess from sitting all day Tuesday, so I stretched a lot. I took Jake on a walk to see Jessie. She’s always happy to see us. 🙂
Wednesday night Jeremy cooked more steaks. It’s safe to say that we are a little tired of eating steak! LOL I fixed baked some zucchini and squash that were topped with a little parmesan cheese.
We also grilled some zucchini and squash. I found a recipe on Pinterest that we used to flavor the zucchini and squash. It had butter, basil, and oregano and it came out really tasty! (There are some deer steaks under that foil for me.)
Thursday morning started with some greek yogurt and green tea. My yogurt was topped with blueberries, special K cereal, and chia seeds. After breakfast I walked Jake around the yard and then I headed to town to take care of some stuff. I met up with a friend and her kids for lunch. Her daughter is 6 and is the funniest kid I have ever met. You never know what’s going to come out of her mouth! She’s the one that invited me to lunch. 🙂 We ate at a Mexican restaurant and I had a cheese enchilada. After lunch I went home and had a ton of laundry to do. Adulting is no fun sometimes! lol
That afternoon I did some leg lifts and a quick ab workout. Dinner tonight was leftover squash, zucchini, and deer steak.
Friday started with some green tea and yogurt. I was up early and had to go into work for a while. That little while ended up turning into several hours, and I didn’t get home until after 4. Jake had a friend waiting on him when I got home.
He’s such a cute puppy and his owners don’t keep him in their yard. I feel bad for him. He hung out on our porch for a long time wanting to play with Jake. (He was at the groomer’s.)
I did a 10 minute dumbbell workout and called it good. I was exhausted!! I actually parked myself on the couch and hardly got up until we went to bed.
Jeremy came home from work and he was just as tired as I was. We decided to order pizza and watch Last Man Standing all night!
Okay, not all night…we were asleep by 10! That was the earliest that we had gone to sleep all week. Saturday morning we slept in. I actually slept until 10! When I got up I cleaned the whole house and did some more laundry. Seriously, I hate doing that sometimes! I won’t lie…I’ve actually thought of hiring someone to come in and clean when I’m busy like this. I haven’t, but sometimes I really think I would love that!
Anyways after that, I did my grocery shopping for the week and then got some work done. I actually took a rest day today!
Later that night we met up with some friends for dinner. We ate at our favorite Mexican place. Jeremy and I shared some fajitas.
This morning I got up and did a full body workout. I made up for all my crappy ones this week. I’m going to be sore tomorrow, but it felt great!!
When I finished that, I did my meal prep. I have slacked off on that lately too. I’ve made sure to have healthy food in the house, but I haven’t prepped anything. It’s so much easier when it’s prepped and ready to go. I’ll post all about it on Wednesday.
Now I’m ready for the week! Have a great one!
