Make Ahead Smoothie Freezer Packs

Hey Guys!!  In the summer smoothies are a staple in my house.  I love them for breakfast, lunch, pre or post workouts, or just a snack.  I love that they are so versatile that you can pretty much put anything in it and it will taste good – most of the time.  🙂  Today I’m sharing what my favorite smoothie combos are and how I prepped smoothie packs for my freezer.

I love fruit and veggie combos, and the combinations are endless.  Smoothies can be very filling and healthy.  Since I love meal prepping so much, I prepped some smoothie packets so I don’t have to drag out all of the ingredients every time I want a smoothie.  Now all I have to do is grab a pack, throw it in the blender and add in the extras.  I like protein powders, chia seeds, or ground flax seed.  For the liquid I like to use almond milk, water, or coconut water.

When I got ready to prep the packs, I started with all of the ingredients that I could think of.  I used both fresh and frozen fruits.  I basically used any fruit that I had in the house so that it didn’t go bad before I could eat it.  With the fresh fruits, I washed and cut them up first.  The whole prep took me about 30 minutes and I was able to make 20 packets.

These packs are super simple to make and can be made with any fruits or veggies that you have on hand.  Once frozen, they will last for a long time.  All you need are some freezer bags – I used quart size – and fruits and veggies of your choice.  For the combinations below I used a 1/2 cup of each fruit, a half of a banana, and a handful of spinach.

My Favorite Combos:

  1. Spinach, banana, pineapple, mango
  2. Pineapple, banana, peach
  3. Apple, strawberry, banana
  4. Spinach, banana, mango
  5. Strawberry, blueberry, mango
  6. Spinach, peach, banana
  7. Spinach, strawberry, mango, banana
  8. Blueberry, peach
  9. Apple, blueberry, spinach, banana
  10. Blueberry, strawberry
  11. Strawberry, peach
  12. Strawberry, pineapple, mango
  13. Banana, pineapple, strawberry

The possibilities are endless!

I always bag and freeze my bananas but never thought to make up individual servings with all the other ingredients too. Sometimes I don’t get through all my spinach before it gets gross so this would help it keep much longer. Thanks!

That’s one reason why I made them! lol I usually never get through my spinach either! I started just doing the bananas and then started adding more!

Love making smoothie packs! I will definitely be doing this a lot post-baby to save time. I think my favorite combo is frozen banana, frozen strawberries, cashew milk, nut butter, and vanilla!

That sounds like a good combo!! I like to add PB2 powder into some of mine. I bet these will help save a lot of time when the baby gets here!

I love doing this!! I always think throwing together a smoothie won’t take much time, but it does. I love just being able to dump an entire bag in the blender at once and go!

It really does take some time to pull out all the ingredients. I always have to think about what I want to put in it, and get that ready. It’s so much easier to just grab a bag!
