Hey Guys! Today is Tuesday, so that means it’s time for Marcia’s link up party to discuss all things running . Today’s topic is your 2017 running resolutions. I don’t like to set New Year’s Resolutions. I have found in the past that I never keep them, and I’m always disappointed. So, instead I like to set goals. I’m sure you’re probably thinking they are the same thing, but to me they’re not. Goals are more attainable and seem more realistic. I have several goals for this year, both running and personal, and I’m excited to share with you.
I want to run another marathon! This was a huge decision for me, but I’m doing it!
I want to run more mileage than I did in 2016. I ran 1571.55 miles in 2016. I want to run more than that in 2017.
I want to get faster. This may have to happen after marathon training. I really slowed my pace down a lot last year when I trained for the marathon. I have picked it up a little, but I am no where near where I was.
Stay injury-free. I am going to do a better job at stretching and foam rolling and listening to my body so I can make sure to stay injury-free.
I want to do a better job at meal planning and prepping. I feel like I go through phases where I do a good job at this, and then I quit for a while. I want to stick to this so I can make sure I eat healthier.
Do more HIIT workouts. I love these types of workouts, and I think they will also help with my running. So, I want to add more into my weekly workouts.
What are your 2017 goals?
