Racing Bucket List

Hi Friends!  Welcome to this week’s Tuesday’s on the Run.  I’m linking up today with Marcia to discuss my racing bucket list.  I actually did a post over this last year, so this is the new updated list.

Here is my Running Bucket List:

Nike Women’s Half Marathon

This is the race that I absolutely want to do the most!  I like that it is a race for only women.  Plus, I think it would be awesome to get a Tiffany’s necklace at the end of a race!

Las Vegas Rock and Roll

I’ve never been to Vegas, and this would be the perfect way to see the strip for the first time! All of the Rock and Roll races that I have read about seem like so much fun, but I think I would enjoy Vegas the most. And, the medal is really cool!  (I am really trying hard to convince Jeremy that we need to go to this race in November.  LOL)

Disney Princess Half Marathon

There’s really not much to say about this one other than I just really want to run at the most magical place on Earth!  I really can’t imagine anything that sounds like more fun than this!

Bermuda Half Marathon

I am all about the Caribbean, so this would be a good excuse to go on a mini vacation.  But, not only is this race a half marathon, they also have a Bermuda Triangle challenge.  3 races in 3 days – Friday night is a mile, Saturday morning is a 10k, and Sunday morning is the half marathon.  This would not only be a running challenge, but also a fun location.  You run right next to the ocean, so I’m sure the scenery will be beautiful.

Kauai Half Marathon

Surely you can see a pattern here.  I’m all about the beach and running at the beach just makes it that much better!  This course is also next to the ocean so I can only imagine how beautiful it would be when the sun is just coming up.

Rock N Roll New Orleans

I love New Orleans and I think it would be really fun to run in the French Quarter.  Plus, when I was done, I could stop by Cafe Du Monde and have a beignet!

NYC Half

I have always wanted to visit New York.  So why not run a race while I’m there?  Talk about killing two birds with one stone!

Paris Half Marathon

What else is there to say?  Paris would be awesome!

That’s my bucket list.  I add to it all the time, and so far I’ve only marked one race off of it – the OKC Memorial Marathon.  Hopefully I will actually get to run some of these races.  I think it would be awesome to run internationally!  Fingers crossed that will happen someday.

What’s on your racing bucket list?

You’ve got a great bucket list! New Orleans is definitely on my list of places to run a race, I just don’t know which one I want to do. I’m going to be doing the Princess 10K for the first time next year, I’m excited!

I had a lot of fun when I did the Princess half. That was my first half, and I chose it so I could focus on the fun while training up for it. The only goal I had was to finish. You could now, if they stick with it, combine Disney and Paris with the Disneyland Paris half.

I have done both Princess and RnR Las Vegas and both are great choices!

I had the Nike women’s half on my list for a while but they keep taking way all their races on the East coast!

I really, really want to do a princess race! I think that would be so much fun! I wish I lived closer to Disney.

Tara you have great taste in races if I do say so myself! Haha! Nike Womens was THE race that motivated me to run a half 10 years ago. That one topped my bucket list for a loooong time. I ran Vegas last year and cannot say enough good about it. It was SO cool to be on a closed-down to traffic and everyone else, strip at night. Amazing! I’m still eyeing RnRNOLA and that Bermuda triangle thing sounds awesome!
