Weekend Fun

Happy Monday Friends!  I can’t believe the weekend is already over – that really stinks!  But, it’ll be a good week!  I hope you had a great weekend and are rested up for this week.  We had a fun weekend and it really did go by fast.

Friday night Jeremy and I met up with some friends at the hometown high school football game.  It was the first homecoming that the high school has ever had, so I didn’t want to miss it.  We all sat with my parents and watched the whole game.  (Read:  My friend and I people watched, while the guys watched the game.)  It got so cold, and I was freezing!  The game ended up going into overtime, so we got to freeze even longer.  After the game, Jeremy and I picked up a pizza and headed home.

Saturday morning we got up a little early and Jeremy took me to look at a horse that he is thinking about buying.  It was so gentle and calm and I loved her!

I love my horse too, but she is a little fiery sometimes, so Jeremy is afraid to let me ride her.  After looking at the horse, we ran some errands and went grocery shopping.  I found some new flavors of yogurt that I can’t wait to try.

I also found some new peanut butter.

Look at the difference in the Simply Jiff and the regular Jiff!  I tried it and it wasn’t as rich tasting as the regular, but it was really good!

We hung around the house and took Jake for a walk.

Then we watched the OU game.  (My knee needed a little ice!)

When the game was over, we headed to get dinner at our regular place.  They joked with us when we came in that they were going to put a plaque with our name on it on our table.  I tried something new – a chicken quesadilla – and it was okay.  I love their chicken, but I don’t like the cheese sauce and I didn’t realize it would come with it.  I picked out some of the chicken and Jeremy ate the rest.

After dinner, we stopped at Redbox and rented a movie, and then we stopped at my father-in-law’s to check on Jake.  We ended up sitting there till almost midnight and by the time we went home we were too tired to watch the movie.

Sunday was a power cleaning day!  I was very productive!  I cleaned my whole house and then did all my food prep for the week.  I roasted some sweet potatoes and grilled chicken breasts and made some spinach salads to go with it.

And now I’m ready for the week!

When I got all of that done, Jeremy and I rode our four wheelers for a while.  I love being outside when the weather is so nice.

Then I headed out for a four mile run.

After my run, we took Jake on a walk.  I rode my bike and he likes to run next to it.  He’s learning to walk on his leash while I ride.

I fixed us breakfast for dinner and we watched The Boss.  It was pretty funny!  And, I fell asleep on the couch before 10!  It was a great weekend!

What did you do this weekend?

That’s nice! Love a fun and productive weekend! Have you tried any natural peanut butters? I’ve found that since switching to peanut butter where its literally “peanuts and sea salt” the other peanut butters taste like sweet and fake or something to me. Too much added stuff…pure delicious peanut butter…okay ill stop talking about peanut butter now. I’m so hungry now!

    I love productive weekends!
That Mexican place always looks so good, I wish I had one close by. I have been making lots of taco salads lately, they are delish!

I love taco salads! We make those slot at home too. We have a ton of Mexican restaurants close, so our choices for dinner are usually Tex mex or real Mexican! Lol

My favorite peanut butter is Peter Pan honey roasted. It’s getting harder and harder to find though!
I wish I could train my lab to walk beside my bike!

I used to love Peter Pan. That’s all we ate growing up. Jake is doing pretty good until he gets excited and tries to jump on me, or when he smells something and suddenly jerks away!
