A Big Surprise

Happy Monday Everyone!  I had a great weekend and I hope you all did too.  Mine was pretty low key though.  We did have plans on Saturday, but they fell through due to our sick puppy.  That’s okay though because I couldn’t have left and worried about him all day.  So, we hung around close to the house all weekend.  And, I did get an awesome surprise!  The best kind of a surprise because it was “just because”.

Friday night we were meeting my family at Rib Crib to celebrate my grandma’s birthday.  When we walked out in the garage to get in the car, this was sitting there!

I was soooo excited!  Jeremy got me my own four wheeler!  When we go hunting, or riding around our hunting land, we always ride together on his.  That’s fine with me, but now I’m really excited that I have my own to ride!  That was the best surprise ever!  I couldn’t believe that he got it unloaded in there without me hearing him!

We met up with my family at Rib Crib and had dinner.  Jeremy and I ordered a meal to share.  I got a side salad and then ate the smoked chicken off of his plate.  I forgot to take a picture.  After dinner we headed over to my parent’s for gifts and cake.  My aunt and cousin were in town visiting and we had a great party and had fun talking for a while.  My grandma had an ice cream cake.  I was still on the cleanse and was supposed to be avoiding sugar, but I did cave in and have a bite of Jeremy’s piece.  πŸ™‚

Saturday morning we slept in a little bit.  We had planned on going out of town for the day and doing something fun and I had wanted to go to a Japanese show cooking restaurant for dinner.  But when Jeremy took Jake’s medicine over to his dad’s house, where Jake had stayed Friday night, he figured out that we couldn’t go.  He came back home with Jake and said that he had peed in the house during the night because his dad didn’t hear him when he needed out.  I remembered that the steroid makes him have to go about every hour.  So, we stayed home and stayed with Jake all day.  He did have to go out about every 45 mins.  He would sleep and then jump and run to the door.  I felt so bad for him.  Since we were home for the day, I decided that I would not lay around and be lazy all day.  Although I really wanted to.  I had some Spark and then I did a 30 minute Tabata workout and then did 30 minutes of stretching and foam rolling.  I seriously had no motivation to do it, but I made myself and once I got started it felt so good!

The heat is making me so thirsty!  Even though I was inside, I made sure to stay hydrated and I drank this whole gallon!

Saturday night we headed to our regular spot.  We hadn’t been in there in a few weeks, but they hadn’t forgotten us!  As soon as we walked in, the manager came and shook Jeremy’s hand and told us our table was open.  We walked through and two more waiters shook Jeremy’s hand and said hi to us.  It’s nice and we always get great service.  I was on Day 6 of the cleanse and I really tried to have some self control with the chips and salsa.  I think I did pretty good! I ordered fajita chicken for my meal.  It’s grilled chicken with cheese sauce and is served over rice.  Their chicken is out of this world!  I always order mine with bell peppers and onions added in and the cheese sauce on the side.  I did eat almost all of it!  It was so good!

After dinner, we stopped at Red Box and rented Mother’s Day and then headed home to let Jake out and watch the movie.  By the time the movie was over and we let Jake out again it was a little after 1 am.  I went right to sleep, but Jake woke me up at 3:15, 5:00, and again at 6:30 to go out.  I actually had not gone back to sleep when he got up at 5. He finally slept from 6:30 until 9:30 before he had to go again.  I was exhausted when we got up Sunday morning!

We headed to town to get our grocery shopping done and then I went over to visit my grandparents and parents while Jeremy mowed.  When I got home, I rode my four wheeler around for a little while.  I love it!

Then I sat down to work on this post and I might have taken a little nap too!  We fixed burgers for dinner.  I fixed Jeremy a beef burger and I had a black bean chipotle burger wrapped in lettuce.

After dinner I went right to bed and got up early this morning to finish this post before I head out for a run.  I hope you have a great Monday!

Did you do anything exciting this weekend?

Yay for a new 4-wheeler. We are currently looking for another one. We replaced ours with a golf cart and now we want another one. What a sweet picture of your grandma, I miss mine so much!
How is the cleanse working out for you?
I’d say my last minute trip to see Holly was the highlight of my weekend!
