Tech Support?

Hi! Today I’m linking up for Thursday’s Thinking Out Loud.  This is when I get to throw all my random thoughts into one post for you to go through!  I usually have a ton of random thought, but, today I am focusing on technology.
I have a love/hate relationship with technology.  As in I really love it, but I really hate it when it doesn’t work.  Technology has become something that we rely on.  So, it’s a huge pain in the butt when the internet is down, or something isn’t working properly.  I would say 99% of the time I love, love, love technology.  I love being able to get anything I need at the touch of a button.  But, it’s that 1% of the time that really hacks me off!  We all know how great technology is, but I want to give you a behind the scenes look into the technology behind my blogging and ask for your help!  I really, really need help!

I use my laptop to write all of my posts, edit pictures, put together collages, and publish everything.  Basically, I use my laptop for everything except taking pictures.  So, when it’s not working, it’s a huge annoyance.  (Actually it’s grown into something bigger than just an annoyance!)  Since it’s not working right, I think it’s taking me double the time that it should to put together a post.

My problem is that my laptop keeps freezing!  It’s soooooooooo frustrating!  I don’t know what’s wrong with it or how to fix it.  This is where I’m hoping some of you will have some suggestions for me, or even have experienced this too and hopefully know how to fix it.

I have a Lenovo ideapad.  It’s only 3 years old.  It was working fine until I upgraded to Windows 10.  Now, the mouse will  randomly freeze all the time.  It will freeze for 30-45 seconds and then it will work again for about 3-4 minutes and then freeze again.  This goes on constantly!!  At first I thought maybe it was something that was running on the internet.  But, it will do it when I’m in Microsoft Word too.  Everything else will work, just not the mouse.  This drives me absolutely crazy!!  Like makes me want to scream at it like a wild banshee.  Just kidding, but it does make me crazy!  (Insert a ton of mad faces here!!)

What is going on??  Has anyone else had this problem?  Do you think it’s a Windows 10 problem, or is something wrong with my computer?

Literally while I was working on this post it froze 57 times.  Okay I made up that number, but it felt like it.  It was constant!

I don’t know how to fix it, and I’m about ready to pull my hair out!  Help me please!

Hmmm, I really don’t know but I had a similar problem on my old computer. Here are just some suggestions.
Are there updates that need to be run?
Are there other programs still open that need to be closed? You would be surprised at this one, just because the “window” isn’t open, doesn’t mean that there aren’t programs running in the background that you can’t see. That’s happen to me before an has made the pc run very slow.
Good luck, I hope you find your problem. When you do, please let us know!

Is it just a mouse problem? Is it a wireless mouse? Have you tried using a different mouse or the touchpad instead?

I would make sure that it’s not the mouse itself. Otherwise, it might be a driver that needs to be updated for the cursor to work properly.

I completely agree, technology is the BEST until it doesn’t work and computer problems drive me nuts. My Dell is 5 years old and slow and has problems with the wireless connection sometimes. Luckily I have a work Macbook that I can also use at home.

lol my work laptop isn’t worth bringing home! It’s the mouse pad. But I took meranda’s advice and updated it. So far it’s working!

I’ve heard that the lenovo laptops have mouse pad problems and that it can help if you just buy a mouse and connect it to your laptop? Thats so frustrating! I would also check for updates which can make everything lag.
