Happy Weekend everyone! How was your week? Mine was pretty good, and it flew by! I like weeks like that because it means I get to the weekend faster. Tuesday morning I gave you a long recap post. This one won’t be near that long. I haven’t been that busy this week. But, I have had a solid week of training…and eating! So, I’ll share those things and some of my other activities.
Tuesday morning I tried a new oatmeal cup that I found at Aldi. It was maple brown sugar, and was pretty good. I was running late that day, and didn’t have time to pack a lunch. Jeremy was going to bring me something, but he got busy and couldn’t get away. So, I had some turkey snack sticks and a Nature Valley Nut Crunch bar. This was the first time I had tried one of these, and I liked it. It had peanuts and sunflower seeds.
After work, I went to run at our local park. I really don’t like running here, but I needed to work a little more on endurance. This course is pretty much all up hill, and you have to loop around it several times.
One time around is 1.5 miles. Where I normally run doesn’t have many hills, and there isn’t much incline in them. I had 3 miles to do, but I once I hit 3 miles, I was still a little ways from my car. I ended up running 4.5 miles.
Once I got home, I waited on Jeremy to get there so we could take Jake for a walk. While we were waiting, Jake had a visitor. I guess the pig wanted to play. He tried to jump up on Jake! Jake didn’t like that very much.
Then, when we were walking, some of the neighborhood dogs came out, and one of them is a little puppy. Jake used to like it a lot, but now it’s started playing and it bites at him. It bit Jake’s mouth and made him bleed.
After our walk, I did a Be Fit workout video. I did the Relax & Restore Yoga Workout.
Jeremy was off Tuesday night, so I fixed us some dinner. I made grilled chicken sandwiches. I made them with Sarah Lee 45 calorie bread, Tyson grilled chicken, bacon, cheddar cheese, and fat free ranch. Don’t tell Jeremy, he can’t tell the difference in the fat free and regular! We ended the night watching Married at First Sight.
Wednesday morning I had some toast for breakfast and for lunch I had a Cliff bar. The weather was absolutely beautiful! It was 69 and sunny, and I was looking forward to my run. But, I noticed that my chest was a little tight when I got out of my car to go inside my house. So, I looked up the pollen count, and sure enough the tree pollen was high.
This meant that I was stuck inside on the treadmill. Bummer! Before my run ate a half of a peanut butter and jelly sandwich, then I got on the treadmill and ran a very boring 7 miles!
When I was finished, I stretched and used my foam roller. Then I did a Be Fit Pilates video and an Abs Blast video.
By dinner time Wednesday night, I was super hungry! I fixed a huge breakfast. We had scrambled eggs, hash browns, biscuits, bacon, sausage, and gravy. We were stuffed when we got done!
After dinner I tried to figure out what was wrong with my blog. It wouldn’t load! I could keep refreshing it, and it might load once, but it was extremely slow. I tried to get online to get help, but I sat on hold for an hour and a half. When I first got on there, it said the hold time was 24 minutes. It lied! I finally gave up around 11. I could barely keep my eyes open.
Thursday morning I woke up early, and was able to take a picture of the beautiful sunrise. I really do love being up early in the morning when everything is so quiet and peaceful. It’s just the getting out of bed part that I hate! I was up early enough to be able to eat breakfast before I went to work. I sat outside on the porch with Jake and ate some toast. It was 59 degrees and really nice outside. I am so ready for summer!
After breakfast, I ordered my first Garmin! I am so, so, so excited!!! I have been wanting one of these for forever! I am just tight and couldn’t make myself buy one when I could use my phone to track my runs. But, I know the watch will do so much more than my app, and I really wanted the heart rate monitor. So, I finally broke down and bought one, and I am so happy! I got the Forerunner 220 with a heart rate monitor and it will be here next week! I can’t wait.
Lunch was another Cliff bar. I really like the chocolate chip bars.
After work, I went home to get in a quick run. The pollen count was still high, so I opted for the treadmill. I ran 3 miles. I quickly got ready and went with Jeremy to his games. It’s playoffs right now, and he doesn’t get to call with his regular partner. The guy they assigned him to call with is very entertaining. He is like a Tasmanian devil! He’s all over the floor and you never know what he’s going to do. So I wanted to go watch. Jeremy’s aunt and uncle and dad came too.
The games were really intense! And, of course I sat right in front of a very loud man. He was so obnoxious! He yelled the entire game!! I really wanted to tell him to sit down, shut up, and watch the game like everyone else! But I didn’t. One of the ladies sitting by me said his mother would be so proud that she raised such a fool! LOL At the games last weekend, there was a man acting like that and when no one would pay attention to him, he just threw his arms up and said, “Fine! I’ll just kick myself out!” I kept hoping that man behind me would do the same thing.
The games lasted a long time! It was after 10:30 before we got home and I was hungry! I heated up some leftover biscuits and ate that. As soon as I ate, I crashed! I was so tired.
When my alarm went off this morning, I did not want to get out of bed! I was worn out from being up so late the past couple of nights. But, I will sleep in a little bit tomorrow. Today was a rest day from running, and I was planning on doing another Be Fit workout before we headed to the games tonight. But, I got off work almost an hour late, and by the time I got home I had 10 minutes to get ready to leave.
Jeremy didn’t have to go far for his games tonight, but I went with him so he didn’t have to drive alone. The girls game was really boring! I played on my phone the entire time! Candy crush, Snapchat, Instagram, Snapchat, Candy Crush Jelly saga, Snapchat, reading blogs, Snapchat, catching up on Serial, Snapchat…..
The boys game was a little better. But by the time it started, I was already bored! On the way home, we stopped at Subway to get some dinner. I got a turkey italiano melt. It has turkey, pepperoni, salami, provolone cheese, lettuce, and banana peppers.
It is now 11:35 and we are watching Diner’s, Drive-Ins, and Dives. As soon as I hit publish, I am going to bed so I can get some sleep.
We have a weekend full of basketball. Jeremy has playoff games tomorrow night, and they are two hours away. I also have a 10 mile run planned for tomorrow. It’s going to be a busy weekend! Hopefully it doesn’t fly by as fast as this week did!
What are your plans for the weekend?
