Hi Everyone! Happy Friday!
Today I wanted to share some of my favorites from this week. (Read: things I’m currently obsessed with)
But, before we get to that, let’s talk about how the rest of my week has gone….
Wednesday morning I woke up with a bad headache that lingered all day long. My sickness (I’m not sure what it was) was still hanging on. But, I made it through the day without feeling like I needed to sleep. I had an English muffin for breakfast with low sugar jelly.
I had a lunch meeting, and a girl I work with brought chicken strips. I ate two chicken strips and some 100 calorie pretzels. When I got home from work, I ate a banana and got ready to run. It was very chilly that afternoon, so I decided to run on the treadmill so I could stay out of the cold. I ran 6 miles on the treadmill. I had a pretty fast pace, but I did have to stop a couple of times to use my inhaler. This run was a struggle and not enjoyable. I still didn’t feel very good, and once I started running, my body was tired and my legs ached. I almost wanted to quit a couple of times, but I pushed through and got it done. I think I ran a little faster because I kept telling myself, “the faster you run, the faster you’re done.”
After finishing my run, I went in to get dinner ready. By this time, I was feeling bad again. I was really tired. Jeremy helped me with dinner, and we made homemade hamburgers. I was super hungry after running, and I probably could have eaten two of them…but I didn’t. I didn’t take any pictures because I was so tired that I just wanted to eat and go to bed! And, that’s what I did.
When I woke up yesterday morning, I felt 100 percent better! I could finally breathe and I didn’t have any headache or body aches. And, I wasn’t tired! I fixed an English muffin for breakfast with low sugar jelly and headed to work. For lunch I grabbed some yogurt and a banana. Then I had some turkey snack sticks for an afternoon snack.
When I got off work, I had a hair appointment. My hair has gotten so light lately, so I decided that I needed to get it fixed.
And, I feel back to normal! It’s amazing what a hair appointment can do!
When I got home, I took Jake for a walk. The weather was so nice. It was 65 outside! Jake walked for almost an hour before he got tired.
After our walk, it was almost dark, so I ran my 3 miles on the treadmill. I also did some squats and some light lifting and foam rolling.
Then I fixed some dinner. Jeremy had games last night, so it was just me and Jake. I fixed scrambled eggs, bacon, and an English muffin.
Then I relaxed and watched some TV.
Now, on to my Friday Favorites.
- English muffins – I’m sure you could probably tell from my recap of what I ate the last couple of days that this is something that I am eating a lot of right now. I have always liked these, I just go through phases on what type of bread I eat and right now I’m loving them!
- Strawberry Shortcake Mousse – This is my new favorite flavor of yogurt. I really like the texture and the of course the flavor!
- Candy Crush Jelly Saga – I am obsessed with this new game! I am playing it every chance I have. It’s so fun!! If you don’t have it yet, you should get.
