Last night I finally got my Christmas tree put up! I love Christmas, and I love having a tree to light up my living room. I just love white lights! We usually put the tree up either on Thanksgiving Day or the day after. But, we’ve been really busy so I’m running a little late this year.
On my way home yesterday, I picked up some Southern Comfort Eggnog to drink while I decorated the tree. This was the first time I’ve tried this brand and it was delicious! (It is non-alcoholic)
It is thick and creamy, and has a great flavor. The only down side is that it is extremely high in calories. It had 210 calories for a ½ cup serving! But, it was the perfect treat to have last night.
Jake wanted some eggnog! He kept sniffing the mug and trying to lick it.
I turned on ABC’s 25 days of Christmas last night, and The Santa Clause was on. I put the tree up and then waited on Jeremy to come home so he could help me. We spent a couple of hours decorating and watching the movie. We drank eggnog, and really got in the holiday spirit!
We have two trees. One big one that is decorated in a hunting theme.
And a smaller tree that is decorated in New York Yankees ornaments.
Today I started wrapping the presents that I have bought so far. Jake keeps checking it out to see if it’s for him. We can’t do bows because he takes them off. He already tried to open that present, so we’ll see how long it lasts there.
I also have two baby showers coming up in the next couple of weeks, so I wrapped gifts for them too. The one for the girl is my best friend. Her shower is this weekend. It’s 8 weeks until her baby is here! The other shower, for the boy, is for another friend, and I am one of the hostesses. All the hostesses went in together and bought her a stroller, so I just got her a couple of extra little things. I love shopping for baby stuff. It’s all so cute!
I just love this time of year, and I am in full on Christmas mode! Jake is too, he keeps laying in front of the tree.
Everything about this holiday is so magical, and I really like that I get to enjoy it for almost a month. It’s such a busy month too! It seems like there is something going on every week. (Which is good because I will have a lot to share with you!)
Are you looking forward to Christmas?
