Hello! How’s your week been? I hope it’s been awesome!
I want to report my pile on the miles week 2 progress to you. I did pretty good this week. I got my 30 minutes of walking/running in everyday except Monday! I ran Wednesday and had really bad pain in my foot and ankle. My leg didn’t hurt at all, it was in the arch of my foot and ankle. Wednesday night I couldn’t put any pressure on it. I stayed off of it most of the day Thursday and just went for an easy walk later in the afternoon. My foot was still a little sore yesterday, but I really needed a run. I fit in quick 2 1/2 mile run. Nothing hurt until I was done, and my foot hurt again. I’m thinking about calling the doctor again. 🙁 I’m happy that I’m getting my 30 minutes in everyday. We’ve had beautiful weather this week so I’ve gotten to be outside.
In other news, I promised earlier this week I would eat better/clean this week. To me that means no junk -high calorie, lots of carbs – basically just junk food. And, I can say that I made it all week and did not have any junk! And, I was really craving carbs this week. I really wanted a donut or a biscuit. But I didn’t give in. I don’t know why I crave those things sometimes?? I guess something is missing from my diet that makes me want them.
You can read what I ate Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday here. Thursday morning I ate a Bear Naked Energy Bar. Then I had lunch with a friend. We ate Mexican so I ordered chicken fajitas and I just ate the chicken and veggies. Thursday night I had some apple cinnamon Cheerios. I did steal one of Jeremy’s tamales. It was 80 calories, so I figured one wouldn’t hurt.
Friday morning was a bowl of oatmeal with almond milk and lunch was a turkey sandwich. I made it with turkey, mustard, and Sara Lee 45 calorie bread and some baked lays.
I like reporting to you because it helps me to be accountable. I usually do pretty good about making healthy choices, but I have figured out that sometimes I am an emotional eater. When I get stressed or upset, I eat. I don’t think about it and I don’t care what I’m eating. I’m just eating for no reason, and then I feel worse! So, I’m really trying to work on that and also just keep healthy food in the house so I’m not tempted.
Yesterday when I ran, I was feeling so good. It was a really fast run and I felt like I could’ve kept going for a lot longer. But, I was short on time, so I had to cut my run short.
I ran home and had 20 minutes to shower and get ready for a basketball game. From November until March this is my life. It’s usually 3 nights a week that I go to the games, and then the other 2 or 3, Jeremy goes by himself. I do get tired sometimes with late nights and early mornings, but I love it! I think the only people that understand this are official’s wives and coaches wives. So I guess it’s a good thing that most of my friends are one or the other!
In my rush to get ready I forgot to grab a granola bar. We were going to stop somewhere on the way but were running late so we couldn’t. I was starving during the games! The concession stand only had the normal junk food, so I just stuck with water till after the games.
I did feel bad for the little guys because they tried hard, but they had no chance. The white team had 8 guys that were at least 6 foot! This was the final score!
At least it was over fast! It was about 9:30 when we got home and I was so hungry. I didn’t want to eat a heavy meal and then go to bed, so I just had some Raisin Bran.
