I have some exciting news to share with you, but first let me catch you up on what I did yesterday. Yesterday was pretty much just a typical week day. I woke up to a storm. There was no rain in the forecast! It stormed hard for a few hours, then the sun came out. I started off the day with yogurt and green tea for breakfast while I watched the rain.
Then for lunch, I had a chopped salad from Subway. It had oven roasted chicken, banana peppers, bell peppers, red onions, pickles, shredded cheese, croutons, and the new Subway vinaigrette. It was huge! I couldn’t even eat half of it!
I ran around town looking for a new Halloween shirt to wear to the race Saturday, but I had no luck! Walmart had a $2 rack of Halloween shirts and I got really excited until I went through them. They were all for little boys. I tried a couple of other stores, but no one had any Halloween stuff left. I guess that’s my fault for waiting until the last minute. So, I pulled out the only Halloween shirt that I have, which is the same shirt that I wore when I ran this race 2 years ago. But, I guess it won’t matter if I wear it again. We are going to Norman the night before the race, so maybe I will try to find one there.
After running errands, I came home. I was planning on running yesterday, but my leg was a little sore from Tuesday’s run. So, I decided to just take Jake for a walk and ice it. We went for a walk to pick up pecans, but didn’t stay long because the sun went down and it got cold! Jake found a branch today and decided he wanted to drag it around for a while.
I also found this weird thing in a tree while we were walking. I have never seen anything like it. It looks like a brain!
Jeremy and I fixed dinner last night for his dad. We fixed pork chops two ways. Some were fried, and some were broiled.
I seasoned them with olive oil, Cavenders, Lawrys, and garlic.
Jeremy’s aunt gave us a bunch of fresh okra, so we fixed it!
We had my oven roasted okra, and I fixed fried okra for my father in law.
And, we had scalloped potatoes. It was all really good, and we had so much left over!

This is the 7th year for this challenge, but it will be my first. The challenge runs the entire month of November.
